Celebrate Father’s Day Weekend at Rock’n Ribfest

By on June 15, 2013

Couldn’t figure out what to get Dad this Father’s Day? How about a trip to Merrimack, NH where he and the family can take part in the non-stop festivities going on this weekend at the Rock’n Ribfest. The party started yesterday with tours of the Budweiser plant all day (continuing every day through the weekend from 10a.m. – 5p.m.). The stage shows kicked with Cunniffe Academy of Irish Dance, continued with Beau Badrick, The Giving Moon, and Gary Hoey playing sets on the main stage. Meanwhile guests enjoyed kids rides, BBQ tastings, BBQ cooking how-to demos, and stunt planes among other ongoing attractions.

Today, the Rock’n Ribfest includes constant attractions, including the main stage entertainment from noon through the entire day to closing. One of the main features on the food side for the day is the New England Barbecue Society grilling contest, where ribbers battle it out for the title of Best Griller at the 2013 Ribfest. Scattered throughout the day on the kids’ stage will be demonstrations including marial arts, dance, bands, and karaoke. The longest day of the event is the most action-packed so don’t miss it!

Tomorrow, Father’s Day kicks off with a 5-mile road race at 9:15a.m. leading up to Disney Radio taking over the kids’ area at 11 when the gates officially open. Much like Saturday, there will be events all day including demonstrations on the kids’ stage, The Slakas on the main stage, and continuing New England Barbecue Society competitions. Help Dad enjoy Father’s Day this year with a trip to the annual Rock’n Ribfest in Merrimack, NH!
